Jo and I trooped down to South Melbourne Market again, this time at night, to check out their summer night market. It was a cold and rainy evening, so we sought comfort in some piping hot Spanish paella for dinner. Yum! They had a great reggae band playing as well, which set the mood for a night of discovering independent Aussie designers.
The market turned out to be way smaller scale than expected, and frankly we didn't find that much there.
I think Queen Vic's summer night market triumphs the South Melbourne one, hands down! I will admit, the SM market does have a more intimate feel to it, and the upside is that you definitely won't have to battle the same crowds that you find at Queen Vic. Jo and I indulged in some Nutella and banana crepes for dessert and decided to call it a night.
I'm beginning to think I should end (or start) every day with a bit of Nutella - I have an industrial-sized tub of Nutella on my kitchen counter and I bloody eat it with EVERYTHING. I'm also guilty of occasionally dipping my finger in when I'm craving a bit of chocolate spread, and I can't help it because it is SO GOOD.
Anyone else has an unhealthy obsession with Nutella? :)
