This weekend is shaping up to be one of the warmest days we've had in Melbourne yet.
Run, tell everyone - Spring is here!! I've been so impatient to get through winter, and boy, am I glad to see it go. With Spring comes longer days, balmy nights and an almost electrifying mood in the air...and for me, there's no better way to soak up the excitement than at Rooftop Bar.
I love hanging out here during the warmer months, because Rooftop Bar's located on the 7th Floor of Curtin House, which is right smack in the middle of the city. Booze + cool hangout spot + good location = score!
Plus, there's a bar on every floor of this building. So if you can't find yourself a spot of fake grass to rest on at the rooftop, you can always take the party to Cookie that's on Level 2.
We also got the burgers because, well, why the hell not? I wasn't expecting much because it was from a cheap bar stand, but this was sooooo good. A juicy, greasy patty with sharp cheddar cheese and crisp lettuce. Mmm. The bun was perfectly done - toasty on the outside and fluffy on the inside. At AUD$8 a pop, I'd say this was a pretty good deal.
Come December, the bar transforms into a rooftop cinema, with daily screenings of popular and indie movies.
But be warned, these things get snapped up fast, so book early.
