African fare is admittedly a tad unusual for a Thanksgiving dinner, but who cares, because
great food + great company = always a good time :-)
The salad vegetables in the centre was a nice and refreshing way to balance out the flavours from the spice-rich dishes.
The dishes were also served atop some sort of Ethiopian bread, which really tasted like your regular sourdough in pancake form.
My only qualm is that the menu is fairly limited; and seeing as we had the combination platter, we've pretty much tried most of the dishes, which leaves little reason to visit again. Having said that, it was a very satisfying meal indeed.
Walked over to the summer night market that was happening at Queen Victoria Market after dinner, and had a pistachio gelato for dessert. Will miss this bunch when everyone begins to leave for summer!
