I'm looking all sorts of hippie in this outfit, which is as playful as it is versatile. This has been my go-to ensemble for quick lunch dates in the city, because it requires minimal thought and makes getting dressed a breeze. Here, I let my printed pants do the talking and picked a top with a simple cut and a solid colour. Easy and fuss free! Check out my new iPhone cover from French Connection :-) These leather sandals were scored during the Boxing Day sales, and I actually visited FOUR Nine West stores in Melbourne before I managed to find them in my size. Hooray for good buys! I'm so pleased with these babies.

What better time to bring out the glitz than on New Years Eve? I'll be ringing in the new year in this sparkly number by Miss Selfridge, because nothing says 'ready to party' quite like a heavily embellished dress, hey? ;) My hair is in a low ponytail, and I wrapped a section of my hair around the ponytail to secure it. That's all from me for now -- I'm headed to Eau De Vie, an old-world cocktail bar to sip on magical elixirs and enjoy the company of some friends. Till next time! :-)

Threw on this form-fitting velvet dress and used a printed scarf as a wrap yesterday for some girl time with Evelyn! The dress and scarf are both thrift finds from Camberwell Market, and I'm really pleased about these new additions to my wardrobe. The black velvet dress is a real staple, and I'm so excited to wear it in so many different ways over the summer. Here's a close up of the new bag that I got from Steve Madden! As you'll probably have noticed, I freakin' love crossbody bags. I like the hands-free convenience it offers, and how I never have to worry about my bag slipping off my shoulder (unlike tote bags, pfft). They're perfect for day and night; and if you pick one with details like a chained strap, I find that it can make casual outfits like a standard black jeans and white v-neck combo look more polished. This one has a great snakeskin print, and the burnt orange and turquoise colour palette makes it that much more unique. Also, check out my nails! I've been playing around with textured nail polishes recently, and the one that I have on is the turquoise and yellow "fuzzy effect" nail polish by Sally Hansen. I am in love with these polishes!!! I got it in another baby pink colour, which I intend to wear to death in summer. You can expect a separate post on these polishes soon :-)

The lyrics are terribly suggestive, but this has got to be my favourite song of the summer! :-)
Big thumbs up for Aussie talent. Enjoy! x Follow me on Instagram: @ieatheartsxo for more updates. Hi guys, sorry for the lack of updates but I've been so busy lately! I went on a spontaneous day trip to Wilson's Promontory, which is located south of Melbourne; a three hour drive from the city :) I hate to use the word awesome, but it was flippin' AWESOME. It was the most beautiful day of summer I've had so far -- postcard-perfect scenery, coupled with the warm Australian sun, is the epitome of what every summer should be like. We had a picnic on the beach and sang songs as we watched the sun go down. It was such a special day, and I loved walking by the seaside, and listening to the sound of waves crashing against the shore.
In all honesty, I felt kind of sad sitting on the beach and looking at the horizon... I think a part of me recognized the fleeting nature of the moment, and how one day all of this is going to end. One day I will grow up, because we all do - we grow up, get a job, and return to Singapore. And while I am sure I will immerse myself in an incredibly fulfilling job, I wonder if I will ever live like this again - fearlessly, and with abandon. They say there's nothing quite like one's youth. I'm not quite sure what to do in these moments of conflicting emotions. I guess what you can do, is to push these thoughts out of your mind, and allow yourself to live in the present. I never want to let my youth slip by.
