Here's me and my mum, ready to dig into wood-fired pizzas for lunch! Braved the storm and heavy winds to catch a glimpse of Cape Otway. What a hauntingly beautiful sight... Follow me on Instagram: @paintingrachelred for more updates.

Look what I found at a honey farm! Isn't that novel? Too bad it was a complete and utter letdown. It tasted suspiciously similar to cough syrup; which, naturally, didn't sit too well with my tastebuds and I gave up after a few swigs. A glimpse of the Mornington Peninsula coastline, through the thunderstorm... Part Three is coming up soon, so keep your eyes peeled for that :-) Hope you're enjoying the pictures!

I hit the road with my family and headed South towards Mornington, where we frolicked with farm animals, took in seaside towns, and hopped from one winery to another. Here's my dad behind the wheel: We made a pitstop at Freshfield Alpaca farm, where we got up close and seriously personal with some alpacas! This little guy was RIGHT IN FRONT OF ME. CUTEST. THING. EVA. Then we visited Red Hill winery, which was stunning. It had an award winning, in-house restaurant, Max's, which overlooks the winery. Here's me and my dad at Ashcombe Maze & Lavender Gardens :-) Explored the grounds and stumbled upon a small lake. It was one of the most beautiful sights I've seen... the perfect symmetry in reflection, the still waters and the emerging moon. (to be continued)

I wanted to take a tech time-out to spend as much time as possible with my parents, who flew in recently :-) We wandered around school grounds and even though campus can be pretty empty during this time of the year, it had a slightly sombre and moody charm... Melbourne is somewhat darkly romantic in the winter; and as dramatic as it sounds, some days, especially on walks like this, you can almost feel the weight of history lingering in the air - it's in the exquisite architecture, the arched hallways, and the rich heritage. Always feel lucky to be a part of this school :-)

Light and crisp, with a hint of tartness - that's how I've been having my breakfast. I've always wondered how some people can go without having something to eat at the start of a day, because I can't seem to do the same. Food is a must for me in the mornings, regardless of whether I've overslept, am late, or am just too damn groggy to fix something decent. Skipping brekkie has its consequences, like: 1) Me magically turning into Grumpy Cat Miss my morning meal and I am moody as hell. Steer clear, people. My day has NOT gotten off on a good start. 2) The inevitable stomach growl. This is the most disruptive consequence of all, especially if you're in a meeting / in the office / in a really quiet class - one churn of the stomach and EVERYONE freaking turns around. So what do I do? I look around innocently. "Nope, it wasn't me!" *cringe* And of course, who can forget that passing on breakfast 3) Eventually makes you stupid. From what I've been told, people who eat something in the AM are smarter than those who miss it. (Can someone verify this please??) So, cut breakfast = cuts to your intelligence. What about you? Are you a breakfast person, or can you go without it?

Cheryl ([email protected]) - you will be contacted through email, with details and a voucher code for your use. Enjoy! What can I say? I am a homebody at heart. As much as I love a good night out, nothing beats curling up in bed with a bit of cider and a Suits marathon. It might have something to do with the weather in Melbourne right now, which is nothing short of frigid; but lately I’ve been favouring mellow evenings in over dining out. But what's a binge-watching session without some pizza? Give me ten shots of Donna Paulsen, along with a cheesy munch fest, and I am happy as a clam! I ordered online, through Menulog, which provides a round-up of restaurants in your suburb, and allows you to place an order and get it delivered. With over 3,500 restaurants to choose from within Australia, you can bet that whatever it is you're craving, be it pizza, a Thai stir fry or a good old burger, they'll likely have it. Check out what I ordered: Mmm. Roasted chicken slices with pineapple, sundried tomatoes and a few slivers of onion tossed in, for good measure - that's the cheesy Pollo goodness (AUD$14, top right) that has as much bite as it does flavour. The foccacia garlic bread (AUD$5) comes in two options: one with cheese and the other with rosemary. I picked the one with rosemary, and it tasted like a halfway mark between a fluffy foccacia and a chewy pizza dough. The highlight was really the Fungi (AUD$14). As unappetising as it sounds, this was a real firecracker - heaps of porcini mushrooms tossed lightly in truffle oil atop pomodoro sauce, with strips of fresh proscuitto laid over it. Punchy, fragrant, and satisfying as hell. It's hard not to be tempted by the smell of truffle oil wafting out of the box! Here’s the good news: the folks over at Menulog have very kindly provided a $20 voucher for me to giveaway to one takeout-loving reader.
